Homemade Nut Butters
I’m obsessed with nut butters. Unfortunately, most store bought nut butters are full of unwanted sugars and ain’t nobody got time for that! I do, however, have time to make my own nut butters at home.
I’ve been experimenting with different homemade nut butters (peanut butter, almond butter and hazelnut butter). There’s a science to these nut butters, you can’t just say “I feel like making some hazelnut butter” and expect to know how to do it without any previous knowledge of it.
I had to look up different recipes until I found the right ones. So, here are the best recipes I found!
You’ll be needing a food processor for all of these recipes. I bought mine for about 80 dollars and it was the best investment I’ve made. I’m sure the price in other countries must be cheaper than that though!
Enjoy!
I usually use about 500g of (salted) peanuts with 3 tablespoons of honey (I use miel de palma AKA Palm Syrup - not to be confused with palm oil). I skip the oil and add juuust a bit of salt and IT’S SO DELICIOUS. Make sure to leave the food processor on long enough to create a creamy peanut butter.
